ALWAYS AND ONLY GRATITUDE

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: ALWAYS AND ONLY GRATITUDE. That’s what I’m feeling today Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of our church, The Door Christian Fellowship of El Paso TX. What a great opportunity to reminisce about all that God has done and IT IS SIGNIFICANT. People are always the centerpiece of God’s Grace and Glory. He focuses on establishing His love, His will and purpose in people’s lives. And what great and incredible testimonies we have among us. I could spend days listening to the detailed testimonies of God’s people, what their lives were like before their conversation…what led up to their salvation and what God has done since. EVERYONE HAS A GREAT STORY OF GOD’S GRACE AT WORK. You should think about that today, take some time to rehearse your story in your mind and then say a great big THANK YOU JESUS! Thank You for all You are and all You have done. Then, TELL SOMEONE ABOUT WHAT GOD HAS DONE IN YOUR LIFE. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the 40th Anniversary Weekend than to tell someone, in detail, what Jesus means to you and invite them to church. [Psalms 9:14] “That I may tell of all Your praise In the gates…I will rejoice in Your salvation.” My gratitude today and always, overrides any problems, losses, frustrations and setbacks that I may experience. I CAN TAKE IT ALL, it’s part of life and nothing ever outshines or diminishes the LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST IN MY LIFE. I am more grateful than ever for every feature and detail of what God has done in the 45 years of my Salvation. Beginning with Pastor Warner leading me to Christ in his living room on May 22, 1975 to his pastoral leadership and ministry over my life for all these many years. I am grateful today for the church. Every soul is precious and valuable and I love the variety of people, the diversity from the youngest to the oldest along with the daily routine of church life. Prayer meetings, church services, outreaches along with all the interaction we have on a daily basis. Anyway, there is a lot to be grateful for on this particular weekend. Let’s all take time to express our gratitude to God and to each other. Always remember, we are looking backwards and giving God glory for all He has done…but, more importantly WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD, maintaining the same burden and vision that our church was birthed in. Jesus said; ‘Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation’. Driven by God’s love and compassion that continues to be the centerpiece of all we do. IT’S FOR ALL THE ABOVE REASONS AND MORE THAT I AM…ALWAYS AND ONLY GRATEFUL! [Psalms 9:1-2] “I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.”
