DO SOMETHING TODAY THAT YOU’VE BEEN AFRAID TO DO

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: DO SOMETHING TODAY THAT YOU’VE BEEN AFRAID TO DO. The fact of the matter is YOU CAN’T LIVE YOUR LIFE IN FEAR, if you do you will miss out of some of the greatest experiences and achievements in life. Now, granted…some things we need to be afraid of. That’s normal, natural and something God equipped us with to protect us and keep us safe. Some fear is necessary and keeps us from unnecessary danger, but other fears are hindering you from taking risks and are necessary in order to advance God’s will and purpose in your life. Fear kept an entire army from achieving victory. [1 Samuel 17:11] “When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the giant Goliath, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.” The absence of fear propelled young David onto the battle field against the Goliath and he took him out. On the one hand fear paralyzed on the other hand faith, combined with courage, became the antidote for fear and a great victory was won that still inspires us today. Are you afraid to give, are you afraid to tell your boss or someone else at work about Jesus, have you been afraid to make new friends or bring a loving word of correction to someone you care about? You see how fear interferes with all kinds of good things that should be getting done. We have to discern where fear is hindering us. That’s why you need to DO SOMETHING TODAY THAT YOU’VE BEEN AFRAID TO DO. [Isaiah 41:13] “For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘FEAR NOT, I WILL HELP YOU.”
