THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: GOOD NIGHT…AND I MEAN A VERY GOOD NIGHT! Having a good night has to do with the quality of your relationship with Jesus. Consider what David wrote; [Psalms 4:8] “I will both LIE DOWN IN PEACE, AND SLEEP; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” That IS true and CAN BE true no matter what is going on in your life. YOU’RE IN GOOD HANDS WITH GOD…ALWAYS! Therefore, the PEACE OF GOD IS OUR PORTION. Our relationship with Christ TRANSCENDS the circumstances of life. We should be grieved, troubled, distressed….but we’re not, at least not to the degree that circumstances may dictate. Peace can be deposited in the midst of trouble. WE ARE NEVER ALONE IN LIFE, it may feel like we are, but we aren’t. God’s abiding presence always prevails and can breakthrough in the darkest moments of life and provide you with comfort and peace. [Psalms 23:4] “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” King David is describing what could be a dark and scary place…but it isn’t and it doesn’t’ have to be with you. Are you scared and fearful because you feel alone and it’s a very dark place? Most people become victims to such circumstances…NOT THE BELIEVER IN JESUS CHIRST. He brings comfort and victory so you can have a VERY GOOD NIGHT….TONIGHT! We can live our lives with joy and victory. We all have reasons to worry and fear but we don’t have to allow those things to prevail and dominate our lives. Today, right now, meditate on the revelation in the above verse’s and remember that no matter what, “O Lord, You make me dwell in safety.” So, HAVE A GOOD NIGHT…AND I MEAN A VERY GOOD NIGHT!
