THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: LOOKING OUT A WINDOW, A PERSPECTIVE FROM ABOVE. This particular window I as looking out was when I was traveling at over 500 miles an hour six miles up in the air on my way to the Dominican Republic. It gives you another perspective. Things that are very large when you are next to them, from the air they are so much smaller. WE ALL NEED THE ‘ABOVE PERSPECTIVE’ IN OUR LIVES. The army of Israel had a ‘ground level’ perspective of the giant Goliath…from the ground, when he was close he seemed so big and insurmountable. Then…along comes David…He sees Goliath as so much smaller because he had an ‘above perspective’. He saw Goliath through the eyes of faith in God. God is greater than any of your problems and you need an above perspective when it comes to how you see your life and situation. The army of Israel was afraid and paralyzed. David was looking from above and from above the size of the Giant shrank. [1 Samuel 17:45a-46a] “Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts…This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand…”. Don’t ever look at your struggles, problems and frustrations from ground level. If you do they will always seem bigger than they really are, unmanageable and hopeless. LOOK FROM ABOVE, through God’s eyes. How big are your problems to God?…NOT VERY!..and they are manageable and you can overcome and be victorious. TAKE ANOTHER LOOK OUT THE WINDOW…AND GET A PERSPECTIVE FROM ABOVE.
