THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: SMALL THINGS CAN BECOME BIG THINGS. Have you ever heard the saying; ‘Making a mountain out of a molehill?’ You can certainly do that, make something bigger than it actually is and we do that with the problems that we face in life. We make mountains out of them when in actuality they are not…they’re molehills. I’m not even sure how big a molehill is, I suspects it’s quite small. We have to view our problems, the obstacles we have to face in life, our failures and setbacks through the lens of a faithful God who will guide and help us. Sarah laughed when the Angel of The Lord told her she was going to have a child in her old age…to her that was a mountain. The Lord’s response: [Genesis 18:14] “IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” Yes and Amen, that’s it! A mountain suddenly shrunk and became the molehill that her problem actually was. To her…mountain…To God…molehill. That’s how you need to view every situation that you are facing. Jesus told the man who brought his son to him who was mute, and desperately sick; [Mark 9:23] “…If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Yes they are!…ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. Do you believe in miracles? They happen when the mountains we are facing and are discouraged by suddenly become the molehills that God sees them as. Maybe you should take some inventory…look at what you think are mountains…it could be debt, sickness, relationship problems in marriage and family…or any number of other things…and get them down to the size they actually are. I’m not minimizing the reality of your problems. I’m simply making the case to look at them through the eyes of faith. SMALL THINGS, CAN BECOME BIG THINGS…Let’s not allow that to happen any more.
