THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: TAKE TIME FOR THE LITTLE THINGS…because they matter more than you realize. Every life is an accumulation of the main ingredients and then the spices…those little things that add flavor and enhance. The main ingredients will keep you alive…but it’s the little things that add flavor and make life so much more enjoyable. It’s like a good sermon…there is the main point, the substance of truth and revelation and then the little things added, like a good story or illustration or a personal experience that brings out the flavor of the main ingredient. Anyway, I think you get the idea. So today is a day to focus on the little things. In your marriage, it’s a very small gesture that communicates love. In a friendship in may be nothing more than a phone call to catch up. In your ministry, maybe a little added focus that might bear fruit. It’s a word spoken, a gesture of kindness. [Mark 9:41] “For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.” You see what I mean?..Something small that can mean a lot and even result in reward. [Proverbs 25:11] “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold In settings of silver.” Something as simple as speaking the right words can have great impact on the main ingredients of life. TAKE TIME TODAY FOR THE LITTLE THINGS AND ADD A LITTLE SPICE TO THE MAIN INGREDIENTS.
