THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: TODAY IS A GOOD TIME TO TALK ABOUT SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND FRUITFULNESS IN YOUR LIFE. (Part 1) You need to ask yourself some very serious questions about the state of growth in your life. Are where you should be? There is a process involved. No one is born as a full grown adult. Baby, toddler, childhood, adolescence and then adulthood…and, of course, all that takes years. The point is, ARE YOU WHERE YOU SHOULD BE IN YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH? Are you fully on your way to SPIRITUAL ADULTHOOD with all that that implies? Maturity, responsibility, discipline and fruitfulness are just some of the attributes that should be evident as we grow. As we grow we shed childhood and childish things. [1 Corinthians 13:11] “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” It’s ok to be a child when you’re supposed to be, even a spiritual infant but that shouldn’t be a permanent condition. The Apostle Paul lamented about this; [Hebrews 5:12-13] “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, FOR HE IS A BABE.” You see what can happen if we’re not careful WHEN WE ARE NOT GROWING AS WE SHOULD. Give consideration to this. TODAY IS A GOOD TIME TO TALK ABOUT SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND FRUITFULNESS IN YOUR LIFE. Give consideration to where you are spiritually and make some decisions that will accelerate the growth that God is trying to produce in you.
