THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: TODAY YOU SHOULD DECIDE YOU’RE GOING TO BE A PERSON OF INFLUENCE. Well, actually, that will happen whether you like it or not…what we need to choose to do is be A PERSON OF GOOD INFLUENCE. We all have the potential to be a positive example for others. As a matter of fact that is precisely what Jesus expects you to do. [Matthew 5:14-16] “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp-stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” It is your calling and responsibility to make sure that the integrity of your testimony is evident to all. This isn’t driven by our ego so that we are seen, but it is driven by a desire to make Jesus Christ visible through our testimony. We are to demonstrate through our lives the testimony of Jesus, what He has done in us and what He can do through us. It matters where you put light. That’s the point of the above scripture. You put it where it does the most good for everyone. Put light in a prominent place and IT GIVES LIGHT TO ALL WHO ARE IN THE HOUSE. You don’t take light and hide it or conceal it. Unfortunately, that’s how many Christians choose to live. The light is hidden, no one knows…at least not those who can benefit the most from that light. The one’s who can benefit the most from the light that is in you are those that are lost, those who may be backslidden, those who are living without hope. Look at your life and ask the question; Upon whom is my light shining? Shining in a way that can help them and perhaps change their lives. That is something we should all be thinking about and applying our lives to. TODAY YOU SHOULD DECIDE YOUR GOING TO BE A PERSON OF INFLUENCE.
